In a perfect world

It's that time a week and kids go off to their Dads and I'm of to work to pay the bills ugh.
The minute the kids go I'm a bit lost, as it has been quite a hectic week dealing with different issues and I was looking forward to the peace. But the silence when they have gone makes me a little sad.
In a perfect world they would be with me all the time , I wouldn't have to work and I would be completely self sufficient and they would be home schooled
But this is my journey and I must make the most of it even when I am having one of THOSE weeks
I am grateful today for my beautiful children and I have just eaten way to many of these. Xx

Spring cleaning

Oh this is a bigger job than I thought it would be, when I said I wanted to do the whole house I really mean the whole house , every drawer, cupboard , room, shed.
I choose a spot and bring some bags and its a bag for opp shop a bag for garage sale.
Im not a messy person Im actually very organized and tidy but I found this spring cleaning is making my house look messier.
So far I have done the ensuite, bathroom upstairs, storage space upstairs, Bookshelf, Tylers dressing table the dvd cupboard and the kitchen Tupperware cupboard {that was a nightmare} it isn't just Tupperware it has bowls and containers and all those sorts of things.
Its a bit difficult while the kids are on holidays but hopefully when they go back I can get stuck into it.
I will be stricter and finish one room at a time starting at the top.
I think by September I want to be finished for my spring garage sale. I have one room that will look hideous until after the sale as that's where Im putting everything to be sold and what doesn't sell will be given to the opp shop, not one thing will come back inside.
Im getting there slowly I think the most daunting spots are going to be my shed, the recipe drawer {all those recipes you collect or write down and don't make} and putting it all in some order. Also my spare room which I use as my ebay room those three places are going to be the tough ones where I will really have to be in a good spot as I did pull the recipe drawer out the other day sat it on the bench then just put it all back I thought ugh I cant tackle this today.

Not as I planned

I didn't blog on the weekend as the weekend just didn't go as planned, I got nothing done,  I wanted to garden, clean chook pen, go to markets with kids, but instead I had a disagreement with my eldest daughter and it just left me stressed all weekend.
I spoke to a friend of mine and she said she has it happen all the time as she has an older child { adult} living at home, Im just not used of it and the stress of trying to help someone so set in there ways.
Anyway that was the weekend its a new day now and it was soooo freezing cold this morning -2 I really didn't want to get out of bed as I needed some sleep as I was sleep deprived on the weekend.
View from my balcony this morning looks pretty grim
Frozen over stress ball in my garden
My front garden closest to my house is my succulent garden
I never really liked succulents but now I quite fancy them, this is the only garden I have them in and its dedicated to them
 Also a few little statues
This is from my late mothers garden transplanted to mine
 So was this statue

 and this statue
This rock my father borrowed from the beach for my Mother it now sits in my garden with shells we collect whenever we are at the beach, excuse the weeds Im getting to them

What better things to do to destress yourself is get outside amongst nature and who can resist these little 5 day old bunnies, they now have fur and are just adorable their eyes wont open until they are 10 days

Its cold outside

Its quite cold and windy today so not much done in the garden, juice is on the agenda again to try and keep the colds and flu away.

Its school holidays and I have a child who likes to purchase things and I refuse to buy, I dont give allowances unless jobs are done and I pay by the job, we have a list what each job is worth.  For example
clean car $5.00
Bath dogs $5.00
wash dishes $1.00
vacuum # 2.00
clean cages $5.00
take bins out $1.00
I have a lot more but that is just an example.
My decluttering and spring cleaning is still going I try to do one thing at least a day and today was my ensuite.
The whole cupboard was cleaned including make up and brushes, this shelf was covered in all sorts of things before I tidied and decluttered it. I got rid of 3 bags of bits and pieces just out of this small area.
I think tommorow I will do the upstairs bathroom. Its a bit hard in school holidays hopefully when school goes back  I can get stuck into it, Im really wanting to get my reiki room happening.

Wacky Wednesday

Wacky is how I feel with hardly any sleep I think I have had 6 hours since Sunday, thats why I dont like nightshift.
Even though the day has passed as a bit of a haze I arrived home this morning about 7.30 am to this

Whats this you say, this is a bunnys nest, mummy rabbit plucks her fur when she is about to give birth, on closer inspection I found this
and this

Rabbits are born with no fur and completely helpless, they are adorable.
These two are netherland dwarfs born to
Mummy

and Daddy, both are netherland dwarfs. These two are so friendly and love free ranging around the back yard, Im very lucky that all my animals are used of each other so I dont have to lock any up when the other is out, they are just all out and about together.
Other than the birth of these little ones not much has happened today and there was no baking or cooking anything great for dinner, it was quick and easy brevilles as Im to tired to think.
This is Nala yawning lol when Im tired so are they.

She is beautiful really , I did get a good laugh from that photo though

Nightshift

Nightshift has been part of my life for the last 20 years, every three weeks it rears its ugly head, lucky the last 10 years I have been doing job share, so its not a full week of nights but I dont know if any body on here has worked nights but its my week where I feel like the creature from the deep I just dont know how to explain the feeling of tiredness it is nothing like sleepless nights with children and believe me I had a child that never slept.
I worked nights last night and by 4 am my body was so physically tired and my head just couldnt think my job can be physical so constantly on feet for 9 hours in steel cap boots bending and dragging things, probably better that I am moving around as the minute its time for my break I fall in a hole I just could lay down on the floor and go to sleep anywhere.
As I work shift work and my home life is always busy I am a firm believer in vitamins and stretching.
I take a womens multi vitamin and vitamin C everyday. I also love my juicer as I make a juice with celery , carrots and beetroot ginger, apple and orange, my daughter informs me it smells like the compost bin but she loves it.

Im not a big coffee drinker and I dont drink energy drinks and rarely drink soft drink.
I notice at work a lot of people drink the evergy drinks on nightshift, but I really dont think they are good for you so I steer clear of them.
I always have a lot of plans for what Im going to do when I get home from nightshift but the minute Im home thats out the door, I will mop tonight and I have to put kids beds back together as I stripped them yesterday and did all the sheets but I think that will be it, basically Im out of action and one thing I really should not do after working nightshift is grocery shop.
Im lucky this week I only do 2 nights so thats nothing really, I often think oh I might go back to work full time next year but the week I do nights I change that attitude quick smart. I really wonder if there is somebody out there who actually likes nightshift.
