Meet Alaska

Meet the new addition this is Alaska and she is Indias birthday present. I had forgot how demanding new puppies are. Toilet training , sleeping in their beds alone.  Hmmmm
Lucky she is just so adorable and she is pretty good so far, its only been a few days though.
Alaska likes to be around us all the time, her Mother is a Maremma and her father is St Bernard cross Macedonian mountain dog. Yes I know she will be big. I dont think she will be sitting in my chair for much longer.

India just adores her and so does Tyler.
The chooks dont mind her either maremmas are natural guard dogs of livestock and I can see this already when I take her into the chook pen to collect the eggs she sits down at the gate and just watches them its so very cute.
As for the cats they watch her from above
Im sure she would love them to play with her but they wont be in it.
Milly and Gizzi were quite disgusted with me when I bought her home they have only just started to forgive me. Im sure in a couple of days they will warm to her.
Im not sure what she will do to my garden only time will tell. I think I might make a trip to bunnings to see if I can get some fencing.

Yummy Jam

Ok I have picked all the rhubarb and since the last lot of loganberry and rhubarb jam has to be my favorite jam ever. I made another batch today and the rest of the rhubarb I have chopped and popped into the freezer for other yummy desserts.
I have no recipe for this jam I just put about half berries and half rhubarb then some sugar and ta da .... boil away.

Today I also planted a passionfruit for the um I dont know how many times but I think I have planted one every single year and nothing. This year is my year I know it is this one is going to grow , oh how I would love a lush passionfruit vine. If anyone has any tips please message me.
If you look closely in this picture you can see it , I hope its in a good spot
Finally I have popped something in my beautiful garden feature lol.
Thats Monday done.

Weekend happenings

What a perfect weekend , well my kind of perfect anyway. Im planning a makeover in the garden I dont have any photos as yet as it shall take some time but to give you an idea my front garden is 3 tiers high and it is so overgrown and today we pulled out the whole top tier of plants and apparantly my new name is matron of pain. See I like doing things that are productive but my partner does not, he likes to relax but I find that boring lol. He offered to help out today and his comment was after doing this garden and spending time outside ......... I thought he was going to say he actually enjoyed it but he said "Im looking forward to going to work tommorow " lol. Hmmm well if he complains about work once to me its into the garden he goes.
Im quite enjoying being at home this week appreciating the spaces in my home, you know those little corners you love filled with books and collectables.

Saturday night was a full moon so out went the crystals to be charged and cleansed.
 She certainly was beautiful

It was freezing cold so the perfect weather for a hearty hot stew.
Sunday the skies were clear and the girls had a lovely free range and enjoyed their day, they still are not laying I have actually bought eggs this week
 Garlic is sprouting
As you can see I still have not mowed my lawn but the girls have enjoyed picking through the grass, that could be my next job.

I love the weekend when I clean the bunny cages I know this sounds strange but I do like cleaning cages, I have been putting the waste in the chook pen so it keeps the ground dry as I use wood shavings and straw in the cages and the wood shavings are great for soaking up moisture and keeping the smell free and the chooks love to kick this all around their pens, even though they were free ranging at the time they came back to kick it everywhere. The bunnies get time out in the pens when Im cleaning cages.
I love this fellow his name is Cadbury he just looks so cheeky all the time
This little bun Im keeping Im probably going to keep a few from this litter and the word few means Im not sure how many
Having not been able to garden for quite some weeks as been quite a pain and it was getting very unruly.
I picked all the rhubarb today so Im going to make more loganberry and rhubarb jam which has to be my all time favorite now.
I finally got to dig up my dahlias and Tracey if you read this Ive actually packed them ready to post to you. I have been looking at them all the time thinking that you would think I had forgotton you, but no just been a busy bee and havnt done much at all in the yard.
I even pressure washed my driveway today which took hours, I wish it had of reached the roof but looks like I need to hire someone to do that.
Well Im feeling quite content now after getting some garden time.
Hope everyone enjoys their week xx

Im a lazy blogger

NYes I'm a bad blogger . School holidays and blogging just doesn't happen at my house.
I'm catching up on a little ebaying.
I've also spent last few days in Melbourne staying with a friend so the kids have been having fun hanging out with my friends children .
We arrived home and dumped everything on the table and my pets who missed us terribly thought they would make sure we were staying home by sitting on our stuff.

Indy has been busy drawing.

Tyler and my friends son were busy participating in competitions in shopping centres.
My garden and yard is completely neglected at the moment . I'm going to need a few good weeks outside to have a good tidy up.
Bunnys are growing nicely . Number 4 on this list is certainly what's happening at my house lately
Hopefully my next post I will have some gardening reports x
