Garden bits

Last year I put in a few new iris . This is one of my oldies but each morning I rush outside to see if any new colors have bloomed. They arnt far off. I can't remember what I planted I think I'm going to make a garden diary so I know what I have
This is my favorite time of year when things start to boom.
This is my favorite color combination pansy.
I think of mum when these come out as they bloom on the anniversary of her passing which is tommorow.

Another iris
How can we not believe in miracles when we look at the beauty of a flower.

I've finally found a home for the rocks I painted at my workshop. In my little zen garden.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead . Take the time to be mindful & notice the little things.

Beginning the garden make over

What beautiful weather we are having here in Ballarat.
It's great to be able to get outside & get some things done.
I'm beginning a revamp of my whole yard starting from the top to the bottom.
This week the very top was started just outside my kitchen window.

This is the before & after photo

Hopefully over next few weeks can get a lot more done. My vege gardens are moving to the other side of this wall.

I've tidied up my little potting area. This is where I keep all my cuttings that I give to friends & replant in other areas.

I've also just started weight watchers for three months to try & shake these extra kilos those winter months have put on.
This is a lovely lamb Greek salad for tea.
Lasky is exhausted from her 2 long walks she had today. I need to keep up the exercise.
My daughter took this photo of her & Alaska . Alaska just loves the kids.
She also loves to sticky beak into the neighbors yard.
She also likes selfies.
& getting close to the cat
Back to gardening this is the next plan of attack. Stay tuned

Lazy Sunday

It has been a rather lazy weekend , I'm really looking forward to some Spring weather soon. My garden is terrible mess.
About the only gardening I've done is potted up this fox fern, I've had a few concrete pots & ornaments sitting around for a few weeks now . I bought them in from the house at smythesdale now I have to find spots for them.
I made this little fairy garden as I've had the little agate fairy house for a while .
So much work to be done outside at moment . I need some motivation .
Beautiful blossoms on my almond tree.
Loganberry bushes starting to awaken.
The only thing in my vege garden . The rest is weeds ..... Very long ones .... & lots of them.
Another remnant from Mums garden that I've transferred to mine .
Oh yes I have a couple of lemons on the tree.
The Sunday roast.
Ready for a reiki client tonight , then of to work nightshift boo hoo.
My crystal grid , features citrine for the intent of selling the house ...... A deposit has been placed ... Yay
Just a bit of light reading over the weekend .
Ready to face the week

What I have been doing

So what have I been up to this last 2 weeks.
Well last weekend I completed another Reiki master teacher course.
Why another you say?
I believe we never stop learning, to be a good teacher you must keep learning yourself, I don't really like the word Master , I would rather just use teacher level .
We learn every day of our lives.

Are flowers not absolute miracles , a few little things are starting to bloom. Just magical

My Reiki certificate from my wonderful weekend away, completing this course. What amazing energy & Jeremy is a awesome teacher, so knowledgable & a lot of fun. There were many laughs across the weekend.

We stayed at the Boomerang ranch in daylesford which was just picturesque .

They take horse trails, I'm sure I will be back.
Plenty to see.
Before I left I had to make sure the dogs wernt smelly. Alaska helped .

Two of my student received their Reiki level one with me. I have another level one workshop booked for October .
I love sharing this journey with like minded souls.

Enjoy your week xx

Not much happening in the gardening department

This title is pretty spot on. There is not much happening in my garden.
These few pictures of blooms is about all there is. A few jonquils although I have planted quite a few more of these this week as my Auntie just gave me boxes of them.
The one thing I love about winter is the daphne . Oh how I love the scent of this plant. It reminds me of my childhood.

 One tulip has bloomed
This little sign I found on Mums property {which is for sale} I took it home and painted it and placed it among the bulbs
Hmmm this looks impressive . The only vege in the garden
The rest is like this eeeeek. Im getting to it soon
Now a beautiful massaman curry and guess what the bay leaves are from the garden.
So I am using something I have grown so that counts
Now this hideous mess, I have had another idea for this spot.
Ive pulled out the grape vine and moved it as Im thinking that I cant seem to keep on top of all my gardens , sooooo Ive decided that this is going to be my zen garden. I will keep one vege garden close to the back door and the other 4 down the back.
On the weekend I actually got rid of all the weeds, moved the grape vine and dug out some of the dirt and placed it on another vege garden. This garden is going  to have a make over. That will be a future post in weeks to come.
 Fruit trees are budding
A few nik naks from Mums property are now residing in my garden.
This is where I moved the dirt to. This will be my only vege garden close to the house.
 Ornaments are thriving,
If not much is flowering I still have the bibs and bobs around the garden to keep it interesting.
Now two blogs in one day Im of to get some house work done xx
