I love these girls they all have their own personality. The silkies have to be the friendliest by far and love a little nurse , when it suits them of course. They stop right under my feet then squat down waiting to be picked up or patted.
At the moment I have two broody hens not sure if I will put eggs under them I lost the last lot as they got off a week early boo hoo. Usually its only the silkies who have gone broody and because they are so friendly I can pick the eggs up and pat them while they are sitting. But this wyondotte girl is a different story I went to pat her this morning and she wouldnt have a bar of me she went to peck me this girl is like me after nightshift. She sits there like a zombie and pecks when you go near her.
These two girls have decided they rule the house they eat first bossy buggers they are.
Lucy is just my baby she loves attention and is so friendly.
At least somebody is getting a feed from the broccoli as its just all leaves
Blackberry is a gorgeous girl I couldnt bare to part with her.
Finally the spaghetti squash is coming through I hope these flourish as I am yet to try the stuff, I lost my plants last year.
It really is hard being a cat in my house, and if your human its hard to find a seat with 3 cats and 2 dogs who love sitting on the seats around the table, I had somebody say the other day every time they pulled out a chair there was something sitting on it.
I really love the color combination of this pansy it has to be my favorite
Hope everyone is enjoying the school holidays x
The girls are looking so so cute. I love silkies too but was gifted pekin so that's what ive got. Perhaps in the future some time. I must admit to never having had a bunny for a pet. I imagine they are so lovely to cuddle. Tilly is so small, when she is quiet (tired) she probably about the size of one and so so soft.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, Tilly is just adorable I love her. Your pekins are beautiful there are just so many lovely breeds of chickens think I would love a chicken farm lol. xx
DeleteDear Sharon
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns on the black and grey hen's feathers. I know what you mean about cats and seats - we have the same problem here with our three cats. "Do sit down, oh, you can't; I'll just move the cat..."
Enjoy your week.
Best wishes
Ellie
Hi Ellie yes that chicken is very pretty . Yes the cats seem to take over, its either they have the seat or they are sitting on you .
DeleteHope you have a great week xx
That pansy is stunning - my two favourite colours. I miss a rooster so no fertile eggs here for us - once the old girls pop off I may get another one.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to see if you do raise any chicks
Love Leanne
Hi Leanne they are also my two favorite colors. I dont have a rooster last time I bought fertile eggs, think I might have to get a rooster. My chooks go broody anyway lol, I would love some little chicks they are just adorable xx
