Spring is in the air

Spring has sprung and time to dust of some bits and pieces, this old cheese box was just sitting in the cupboard under the stairs and these vintage bottles have been sitting up high where no body could see them gathering dust and the cloth was an opp shop find this week for $2.00 . This has brightened up the dinner table.

I really need to get cracking on this spring cleaning { de cluttering} need to have that garage sale in a few weeks but there are some things I just cant part with and these magazines are some of them. I never tire of them.
This book stays, even though the kids have well grown out of it, I have not lol. Maybe Im a hoarder.
So exciting when you see the tomato seeds just starting to shoot through yay.
My laundry is just full of trays with seeds of all sorts of things, like I said in earlier post the new rule is I would like to plant something every day or at least a couple of times a week.

Seeds to be sorted and planted
Love it when the colors starting coming out in the garden
I dont love this though it looks like hard work to me.

What I planted today

  2. Your garden looks like it's rocketing along, I've got to get a whole heap of seeds planted when the moon is next in the right phase (from this Saturday!) Something good has to come out of this Saturday ;)

    2. Yes, big big gardener. We grew up on a self sufficient farm (totally) and then after Dad died and we were in town she fed us all (6 kids) on chooks, veggie garden, soy beans (yuk) and powdered milk (yuk yuk). She did it all. Sewing, home cooking, piano lessons etc on a widows pension. She is 83 now and has just had major surgery so my sister has kidnapped her and brought her down here so she cant go home. She's putting up with it as she had to spend a month prior at another sisters to ensure she didnt fall and miss the surgery date. Im taking her (very carfully) to see Hot Shoe Shuffle on Sat. She hasnt seen theatre for 20 years. So as you can see, keeping busy and no posts at the moment.

  6. Sharon, that is a gorgeous table setting. I love the single flowers in the bottles - it makes you really 'see' the individual flower. I am going to pinch this idea!
