Home made lemon cordial

Thanks to my friend Vicki visiting me on Saturday I had a glut of oranges and lemons from her tree.
So today it was lemon cordial

2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 cups water
2 cups lemon juice
3 teasp citric acid

Place sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan on heat until sugar dissolves.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Stir in citric acid, strain into bottles.
Serve with chilled water or mineral or soda water and ice.
Very refreshing
You can see I went all out with the label lol.
I really need to get some labels as I have a fridge full of sauces, pickles, jams with no labels aaaaaagh.
I may have to get kids on the job to make some on the computer.

  1. How long will this cordial last. Must it be kept in fridge. I loving the new banner. Well done. How on earth did you do it.

  2. Maybe you should get the kids to draw their own pictures of what the jars/bottles contain and stick them on? They would look great and very unique!
