A quiet day and a vintage give away

A very quiet Sunday with not much going on, just pottering around the house, this photo was taken from my kitchen window of cockatoos in the distance.
All the children were glued to the electronic devices today , definitely not my cup of tea , except for blogging and ebay.

Nothing gets wasted from the roast, peelings for the compost bin, pretty exciting stuff to blog about but I think its important to put back into the earth and enrich our soil.
Starting to wrap the toilet rolls in newspaper for the spring plantings to be put straight into the ground, usually all my tomatoes are done this way.
 Ebay parcels ready to post
Now I dont know if anybody loves vintage like I do but I would love some new followers on my blog , so I thought next week if anybody could send me a message that they have recommended a new follower they would go into the draw for this bundle of vintage goodies. I have a vintage tablecloth, a vintage apron, 3 embroided vintage doilies, and 4 lovely little vintage books. The berry book is adorable. I will post this anywhere in the world also. I will draw winner on 30th August.

Lovely oranges a friend gave me , I have cut up and will be making marmalade tomorrow

Poor old big cat sooooooo tired
The decluttering is still happening I just havnt posted much as I do a little each day, today was the dreaded kitchen drawer
The stuff is definitely piling up in the spare room
This weather there is always a clothes horse full of clothes drying by the heater as I havnt used my dryer in years. Maybe its time to get rid of that to .

  1. Dump the dryer, they knock the stuffing out of everything, cost an arm and a leg to run and take up space. I will give you a mention on my next post, I enjoy reading your blog. Take care. Pam

  6. Vintage is wonderful. I would much rather source something vintage than buy new! Just popped over from Africanaussie's blog to say hello and now will follow. I'll try to get a post out on my blog too. :)
