Today was one of those days where I feel like I got absolutely nothing done, I got the vacuum out still didnt vacuum, I put the chairs on the table I didnt mop, I didnt even get to make the beds aaaaaagh I hate going out of the house with out making beds.
I have items to list on ebay I didnt get that done.
What I did get done was a batch of biscuits, chicken and corn soup for tea { whoops I forgot Indy is trying to become vegetarian hence she had left over gnocci}.
Oh I planted two plum trees.
Oh and my front yard what a mess I had two trees cut down which had self sowed and now there are branches all over the place, so my weekend is to be spent doing yard work and cleaning this house.

We love banana smoothies and tonight was little different as we added choc icecream so we had choc banana smoothies, quite tasty.
We always keep frozen bananas in the freezer for this treat.
I dont add icecream often as the frozen banana makes it nice and thick we vary the recipe sometimes I add yoghurt , we always add honey and nutmeg
I love honey I cant wait to get some bees, that is on the to do list
A beekeeping course.
Hope everyone has a great weekend x
Don't feel guilty about not getting your "housework" done.
ReplyDeleteConfession - i love Fridays not only because it is the end of my working week but because i come home to a clean house. Since ive worked full time since i was 17 (over 30 yrs) and do not want to stand all weekend ironing and cleaning i pay someone to do it for me. Did i just here everyone's mouths drop? Arent we all meant to be on a self sustainable homemakers journey where everything is homemade and done my oneself? OK, im an imposter then. I will sell my soul before i give up my 4 hrs of paid cleaning a week. Its the best $60 i spend in a week and i come home tired at the end of it and smile. The little things like, the end of the toilet paper folded into triangle (make my heart lift), the clean floors, washing ironed and put away etc. Obviously i clean each day, shop and make meals for the family somewhere in between 5.30am and 9pm which includes a 8-10 hr work day managing 3 companies. So sue me girls.
PS. Phew, what a confession, should i risk posting this on my blog and be wiped from the blogasphere?
I love honey too and would love some bees. I could do it tomorrow as i have a beekeeper nagging me to host one of his hives, BUT my bestie is allergic to bees. Guaranteed pollinators on site and honey, win win.
